NCERT Class 1
NCERT Class 1 practice, chapter by chapter
Class 1 is a big year. Your child is learning to read, to count and, honestly, to sit in one place for a whole period. NCERT uses three books this year: Mridang for English, Sarangi for Hindi and Joyful Mathematics. On NoTuition.in every chapter becomes a few minutes of play, like tracing letters, counting beads or matching a picture to its first sound. At this age ten minutes a day really is enough.

Where does the study time go?
For a six or seven year old, school often means leaving home before 7:30 and getting back after 2, and by evening they are tired and cranky. The little time that is left should go to play, food and sleep. So practice has to be short and genuinely enjoyable, or it simply will not happen.
Tuition is fine, and plenty of children need it. But a tutor with eight or ten children in one batch cannot sit with each of them, and cannot always keep track of what the school did that week. Sometimes the tuition follows its own order of chapters, the child ends up juggling two plans for the same subject, and the confusion shows up in the next test.
NoTuition.in gives that small window some shape: the chapter your child is doing in school, a short activity, practice that explains every mistake, and a clear view for you of what needs work.
