Questions parents ask about NoTuition.in

The things we get asked most, answered plainly.

Which schools is NoTuition.in for?

Any school that uses NCERT textbooks, which includes CBSE schools and many state board schools. The app is not tied to any one school, so it works the same wherever your child studies.

Does it cover anything outside the NCERT syllabus?

No. Every chapter follows the NCERT book: the same chapter names, the same order, the same stories and examples. We deliberately keep it that way so your child is not confused by extra material.

My child already goes for tuition. Is this still useful?

Yes. Tuition is fine, but a tutor with a full batch cannot follow each child closely, and the tuition plan does not always match what the school is teaching that week. A short daily practice on the school's own chapter keeps things in line and shows you where your child actually stands.

How much time does my child need to spend on it?

Ten minutes a day is plenty for Classes 1 and 2. Fifteen to twenty minutes works well for most older children. It is meant to fit around a long school day, not add another hour to it.

Which subjects are included?

Maths, English and Hindi from Class 1, The World Around Us (EVS) in Classes 3 to 5, and Science, Social Science and Sanskrit from Class 6 onwards.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It works in the browser on phones, tablets and laptops, and you can add it to the home screen like an app.

Can I choose a light or dark screen?

Yes. The app opens in a light theme, and parents can switch to dark, or follow the phone's own setting, from the family settings.

Can I print the worksheets?

On the free plan your child can do one worksheet per chapter on the screen. Printing and PDF answer keys are planned for paid family plans, which are launching soon.

Can I set my child's exam dates?

Yes. Add the exam date and the chapters in the syllabus, and you get a short daily plan that works backwards from the exam.

Is NoTuition.in linked to NCERT or CBSE?

No. NoTuition.in is an independent app. We follow the NCERT textbooks closely, but we are not part of NCERT or CBSE.
